Today I'm featuring an article by the lovely Kate over at More Native than the Natives Blog!
When Kate lived in Paris, she loved wandering around different museums. Find out her favorites here…
I love a museum! I’m currently sat writing this as I’m volunteering at an art gallery as an assistant. There is some magical that art can give us and it always amazes me how it can transcend cultural and language barriers. Here are a few of my top places to visit in my old stomping ground if Paris.
Musée Rodin: It took me years to actually make it here even though I walked past in on my way to university every day for nearly a year! Based in the house the sculpture lived and worked in you can see his work through the house and gardens. Take some time to explore the museum as you find fascinating pieces throughout and it’s a beautifully tranquil place even though it’s right in central Paris!
Musée de l’Orangerie
Musée de l’Orangerie: A hidden gem in Tuileries, this museum boasts some of the most magnificent Monets I have have ever seen. During the summer it can get rather busy so try and go off peak in order to really experience the serenity of the vast canvases on display there.
Emily & Jet: Our travel is modest, but packed with adventure. Cheap, but not hostel-cheap. Romantic, but exciting and memorable. We take little, but grand, adventures together to grow in love and life experience.
